according to wikipedia, in the case of uncertainty, expectation is what is considered most likely to happen. an expectation is a belief that is centered on the future...it may or may not be realistic. a less advantageous result gives rise to the emotion of disappointment. if something unexpected happens the result is surprise.

yeah all i wanted from the doctor was a shot that would make me feel like eating at acambaro in about an hour, but apparently that medicine does not yet exist, so i was stuck with saltines for 4 days.
